It’s likely you receive a lot of emails each day from marketers promoting affiliate offers.
In addition, they earn hundreds of dollars and sometimes even thousands of dollars in commission per email they send out.
While your inbox is going crazy with promotional emails, the affiliate marketer is absolutely flooded with sales notifications. Just because you did not take advantage of the offer does not ensure others won’t. As an affiliate marketer, you don’t even need a lot of sales to be successful.
For example, if I promote an offer to 1,000 email subscribers, I only need 8 sales of a $249 offer to earn $1,000+ (assuming 50% commission for each sale).
It means 8 sales from a 1,000 subscriber list. Now, imagine when you have a 5,000 or 10,000 subscriber list. The hard part about affiliate marketing is setting up a system for building your list.
The next step would be to write emails to generate sales from your email list every day. If you can master this, you’ve built a complete side gig that can replace your full-time income.
You don’t need to create your own products. Trust me, creating products, especially software-related ones, is very hard and frustrating.
A good affiliate marketer earns money while the product owner takes care of customer support. Most of your work will be done for you. Promotional emails will only take you half an hour to create each day.
Most times, the owner of the product will even provide you with the email you will use in your promotion. So, you just copy and paste or slightly edit it and send…10 minutes work.
Especially when it comes to email marketing, affiliate marketing is super simple.
What are the basic requirements for affiliate marketing?
The first thing you need to do is choose an affiliate platform. This is where you’ll find products to promote. Affiliate platforms are also responsible for ensuring you aren’t cheated by product owners.
If you’d like to become an affiliate marketer, there are many platforms out there, including ClickBank, JVZoo, Commission Junction, ShareASale, Warrior+, etc.
If you already have a JVZoo account, you’ll need to sign up as an affiliate. To do this, click here: https://www.jvzoo.com/auth/register. You’ll then need to choose a product.
In your JVZoo dashboard, click on “Affiliates” and select “Find Products” from the drop-down menu.
You want to pick and promote only products with a high conversion rate. By this, I mean products that sell easily when you promote them. The platform has thousands of products already, and over 20 products are released every day.
In order for a product to sell, there are many factors involved. These include the sales letter, the positioning, the page load, the graphics, and the video. When you try to promote vendors who don’t give their best in this area, you’ll fail.
So, before you pick a product, be sure to check its conversion rate, and even go through the sales page yourself and see. You should also buy or get review access to the product to ensure the product works as promised.
Once you’ve tested the product and confirmed that the sales page is good and has a great conversion rate, you can request an affiliate link.
(Warning) The affiliate platform will ban you from the platform for life if you purchase the product using your affiliate link…it’s fraud. Following the creation of your affiliate link, you need to drive traffic to it. This is where many people get confused. There are many ways you can promote your affiliate links.
Your affiliate link can be added to a review blog where you talk about the product. If you have an email list, you can promote the product through your email list. Or you can create a YouTube channel where you review the product and share your affiliate links with your viewers.
Now, here’s the bitter truth:
Before your blog or YouTube channel will start getting organic traffic, you’ll need to keep posting content for months to get a few sales.
You may have noticed that the big affiliate marketers you know don’t rely on blogs or YouTube channels to promote affiliate offers. They build their email lists.
The reason is simple: it’s a traffic-on-demand channel.
Let me give explain further:
A post I make today on my blog or YouTube channel can take up to 5 – 10 days before it reaches 500 visitors, of which only a fraction will click. I assume I already have more than 20,000 subscribers on both platforms.
If I have an email list of 2,000, I can get up to 1,000 views on my email in one day, and most of these will click on my link. Consequently, having an email list guarantees instant and rapid traffic to any offer I promote.

Often, bloggers promote their daily posts on social media, but what about all that gets shoved into our Archives? The answer is probably nothing unless you do what I’m about to share. Here are some tips to help you drive traffic to old blog posts (and a free, printable checklist!) so all those articles you wrote last year actually work for your blog.
Your traffic should explode once you’ve implemented all of our tips!
Ramp up the SEO.
You should add keywords to your old posts, rework the titles so they’re click-worthy and keyword-friendly, add tags (with keywords…notice a trend?) Create a meta description (or revise that old one you wrote two years ago when you didn’t know what you were doing). It’s hard to get traffic to your archives if your posts aren’t search engine optimized.
Create a roundup.
You write about similar topics every week? Maybe you’ve written about the same genre multiple times. Create a roundup! This way, you can share your old posts in one convenient spot.
Create Pinterest-friendly images.
Go through your old posts that might be Pinterest-worthy and see if you can add longer photos to those posts. You can also check if your old photos match your blog’s branding. Are the fonts and colors you used on top of the photos the same as your blog’s current design and aesthetic? Adding new images to your old posts will help make them look more cohesive (so people who visit your old posts won’t immediately leave).
Create a second post that links to the first and coincides with it.
You wrote that tutorial a while back on how to “Find Your Truth Tellers” but in all seriousness, think about ways to expand on it or make it a series. Keep readers engaged with your frog sweater tutorials by linking your new ones back to your old ones.
Use AddThis.
AddThis is essentially a plugin that allows you to display content from your archives in engaging and interesting ways. I’ve seen some big sites use the features.
Use “p.s.” at the end of posts.
At the end of each post, include a “p.s.” and a link to a related article readers might want to check out next. The reason it works so well is that it feels more like a personal recommendation, which is why people are more inclined to follow it than use a plugin like Linkwithin.
Deep link.
Deep linking is the practice of linking to old posts in your archives from other posts. Simple. So, if you’re writing about something and know that you have a similar article in your archives, you can link to it. Get it?
Promote old posts on social media.
In a similar manner to Tweetily, you can schedule posts so you can do them yourself instead of letting Tweetily robots share your old stuff! So, you can personalize tweets (and Facebook + Pinterest shares!) so they’re more clickable. You don’t have time to read 500 posts and create tweets about all of them. A little investment can go a long way! Hire a virtual assistant or social media manager for a one-time job to create tweets directing readers to old posts.
You can link to old posts in guest posts on bigger blogs in your niche.
It’s no secret that a big part of Google’s SEO algorithm is that quality content is linked to from, wait for it…quality content. So, what does that mean? You will rank higher in search engines if Forbes links to one of your blog posts than if your mother links to you from her smaller, personal blog. It doesn’t mean your mom’s blog doesn’t kick arse, it just means Google gives popular sites a little more credit.
Also, that’s not to say that links from smaller blogs are unimportant…they can definitely bring in more traffic and new readers… However, if you want to get more traffic from search engines, pitch bigger blogs with killer guest post ideas. Within your guest post, link to a previous post of yours.
These tips should help you stay on top of your blogging game.

To build an email list, you will need at least 3 things:
A lead magnet
As a thank you for signing up for your mailing list, you will offer your potential subscribers something in return. This could be an eBook, a checklist, a report, a whitepaper, software tools, or even a free consultation. You’re going to ask them to sign up to get it.
Now, what you will offer as your lead magnet is going to be determined by the affiliate offer you plan to promote to them later. For example, if you choose to promote software that automates social media marketing. (ex ChatterPal )
You can give out an eBook that contains 365-day social post templates for free, as a lead magnet. You may also give out a course that teaches how to monetize your social media pages.
It goes without saying that anyone who wants a 365-day social media template will need software that will automate the process. So, the lead magnet you create should complement the affiliate offer you are trying to market.
It is even possible to pitch the affiliate offer right inside the lead magnet.
Hopefully, you now understand why I suggested picking a product first.
As a next step, you must create a series of 8 follow-up emails
It is important that these emails educate and sell to the new subscribers.
Your emails should be very engaging, and entertaining, and offer value to the reader, while also pitching your affiliate offer subtly.
As you move on down the list, you can go more aggressive on the pitch to maximize sales. Your autoresponder will be set up to automatically send these emails daily to new subscribers.
